Sibeal must revive her family’s legacy to save her missing friend, Mani, from a werewolf before it’s too late. Lorgaire was the Dec 2022 thesis film written and directed by Meghan McCullin. “I have a huge passion for fantasy, thanks to my younger brother for introducing me to films such as The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. The tabletop game, Dungeons & Dragons, brought us closer as siblings, and that’s why I’m so excited to bring the world of Lorgaire to life on screen. Lorgaire is personal to me because I get to include elements from my heritage, being of Irish descent. This is a project that I’m highly passionate about because it combines elements of fantasy and Celtic culture in a way that’s fun and relevant for new audiences. My brother and I have included elements of folklore from various European cultures and plan to expand the world through his new book series of the same title. At the end of the day, Lorgaire is about making traditions your own, protecting the ones you love, and following your destiny. I hope you enjoy the film as much as my team and I have enjoyed making it!”
